Saint Lucia’s Teddyson John has qualified for the finals of the International Soca Monarch year, with his release ‘No Code’. The announcement was made last night on CNC3 TV in Trinidad.
Soon after his performance in the semi-finals Teddyson posted to his Facebook page, “This night was amazing. My second year in the International Soca Monarch and I’m still in love with the experience. Thank you to everyone that came to support the artists. Thank you to my team and thank you to my supporters!”
The other Saint Lucian contender, Ricky T, did not make it to the finals even though his “Freaky Girls” entry is extremely popular in Trinidad and the region.
Teddyson John will face off against 21 other contenders including ‘Voice’ who is the reigning monarch from 2016.
The Finals will take place on Friday, February 24th, 2017.
