A new industrial agreement has been signed between the Management of First Caribbean International Bank and the National Workers Union (NWU).
Over seventy (70) clerical and technical employees within the company’s operations in Gros Islet, Castries, and Vieux Fort will benefit from the new industrial agreement.
Provisions included a seven percent (7%) general wage increase, performance incentives and a regime of fringe benefits. The new industrial package will run for a period of three years.
Negotiations had lasted some 4-5 months before the final signatures. The agreement was signed in the presence of Mr.Andrew Quashie, Senior Labour Officer in the Department of Labour at Barnard Hill on Thursday December 15, 2016.
Signing on behalf of the NWU were Tyrone Maynard – President General, George Goddard Jr – Secretary General, and Solace Myers – Deputy President General, Shop Stewards – Wayne Burton and Cheryl Anne Edwards.
Signatories for First Caribbean International Bank were Ladesa James-Williams – Country Manager, and Soraya Warner-Gustave – Corporate Manager.
