It was a star studded who’s who of music and entertainment big names in Saint Lucia. Ronald ‘Boo’ Hinkson unleashed his much anticipated ‘Show The World’ concert at the Bill Clinton Ballroom at the Sandals Grande on the historic, and absolutely picturesque, Pigeon Island Causeway last night.
Considered as musical royalty in Saint Lucia, “Boo” set out to take his audience on a musical journey, from the days of the Tru Tones to the now contemporary Boo.
Singer, songwriter, producer, and recording artiste, he certainly delighted the crowd with his signature blend of music which has spanned many decades. His name has been synonymous in the musical landscape of Saint Lucia as long as anyone present could remember, and remains the only Saint Lucian artiste to perform at the Superbowl.
With a performance track record that includes international stages from the Caribbean, to the U.S. and Europe, Boo has opened for scores of musical greats including Al Jarreau, India Arie, and Grover Washington. His music has been showcased on the day-time television show “One Life to Live.” BBC, BET Jazz, and Bravo TV have also aired his live performances.
Also gracing the stage were international recording artistes Arturo Tappin and Tracey Hamlin, as well as local stars Shane Ross, Barbara Cadet, Jessy Leonce, Derede Williams, and Boo’s old buddy from the original Tru Tones, Gregory Chabord.
A musical delight played out in the presence of the Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy, Prime Minister Allen Chastanet, and other fans and supporters.
